# How to Activate Your Citi Credit Card by Phone

> Activate your Citi credit card by phone by calling the number on the back of your card or activation sticker and entering the details the system asks for.

To activate your Citi® credit card by phone, call the number printed on the back of your card (or on the activation sticker) and follow the automated prompts. This is a good option if you prefer not to activate online.

## Steps

**1. Find the phone number**

Look on the back of your new card or on the activation sticker and letter that came with it.

**2. Call and follow the prompts**

Listen to the automated menu and choose the option to activate your card.

**3. Enter the requested information**

You may be asked for details such as the last 4 digits of your card or your date of birth.

**4. Wait for confirmation**

Stay on the line until you hear that your card has been activated.

> Use only the number printed on your card or your official Citi mail. Citi will not ask you to activate through a number sent in an unsolicited text or call.
