# Can't Activate Your Citi Credit Card? Try These Fixes

Most Citi® card activation problems come from a typo in the details you entered. Re-enter your card number, security code, and personal information carefully, then try again.

## Other causes and fixes

> **The website or app shows an error**
>
> Try a different activation method. If online activation isn't working, [activate by phone](/activate/by-phone) or in the [Citi Mobile App](/activate/mobile-app).

> **It says my card is already activated**
>
> Your card is ready to use. See [After Activation](/help/after-activation).

> **I can't sign in to the Citi Mobile App**
>
> Reset your user ID or password through the app's sign-in screen, or activate [online](/activate/online) or [by phone](/activate/by-phone) instead.

> **My card is damaged or never arrived**
>
> Contact Citi customer service using the number on your account statement or Citi.com to request a replacement.

## If that didn't work

Call Citi customer service using the number on the back of your card. Have your card and identity details ready.
